Marina Park

Marina Park offers a convenient boat launch on the west side of Upper Pond in South Kingstown, with a paved parking lot and gravel shoreline ramp. This is a non-motorized water body, making it ideal for kayakers, canoeists, and paddlers seeking a peaceful paddling experience. The facility is undergoing improvements, with the ramp currently accessible while dock and ADA access path construction continues.

**Directions & Parking:** From Route 1 North, take the Salt Pond Road exit, turn right at the bottom of the ramp, and continue 1/4 mile to the launch on the left. The site features a gravel parking lot suitable for vehicle and trailer access. **Restrictions:** Outboard motors are prohibited on Upper Pond. This small, sheltered pond is perfect for beginners and those looking for calm paddling conditions.

The location provides excellent access to nearby natural areas, including proximity to the John H. Chafee National Wildlife Refuge and Trustom Pond National Wildlife Refuge, both offering additional paddling and wildlife viewing opportunities in the South Kingstown area.
