About This Access Site
Marios Landing provides boat ramp access to the Vermilion River in downtown Vermilion, located on the west side of the river near the Water Pollution Control Center. To reach the landing from Route 6, turn south onto West River Road at the west side of the bridge over the Vermilion River (near the Convenient Food Mart area), then turn left at the stop sign approximately ¼ mile down. This is a straightforward public access point suitable for kayakers, canoeists, and motorized boats.

Launch fees are modest at $7 for boats and jet skis, or $3 for kayaks and canoes. The site is located in an area with nearby commercial services and is close to Old Woman Creek National Estuarine Research Reserve, offering paddlers opportunities to explore the Vermilion River system and surrounding coastal wetlands. For additional information or questions about current conditions and availability, contact the landing directly at (440) 967-2440 or marioslanding@aol.com.
