About This Access Site
McIntyre Scatters is a public boat ramp providing access to a 500-plus acre wetland area in the Malmaison Wildlife Management Area near Money in Leflore County. The ramp serves as the primary launch point for exploring this important waterfowl habitat within the greentree reservoir system. Note that road conditions can be muddy, especially during wet seasons, so high-clearance vehicles with appropriate tires are recommended.

This access point is ideal for kayakers and canoeists looking to explore shallow wetland paddling in a wildlife-rich environment. From the ramp, paddlers can navigate the main channel and surrounding waterways within the greentree reservoir. The area is part of the Tallahatchie National Wildlife Refuge system and offers excellent opportunities for wildlife observation, particularly waterfowl. Be aware of any seasonal hunting activity in the area and check local regulations before visiting.

To reach the site from Money, head north on Highway 69 and follow local signs. Contact local wildlife management authorities for current conditions, any access restrictions, and seasonal guidelines before your trip.
