About This Access Site
**Location & Access**
McMasters Bridge Road provides boat ramp access to the Au Sable River near Grayling in Crawford County. From Grayling, travel east on M-72 for 22 miles, then turn right on Deeter Road for 2 miles, and left on Durfee Road/FR 4541 for 3 miles to reach the site on the left. The site is conveniently located near the Meadows ORV Campground area.

**Facilities & Amenities**
This access site offers a boat ramp suitable for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboats. Basic amenities include picnic tables and parking. The site is free to use and wheelchair accessible. For camping, several reservable campgrounds are located within 10 miles, including Meadows ORV Campground, Wakeley Lake Campground, and Kneff Lake Campground. Note that Michigan recreation areas require a current Recreation Passport. The Michigan DNR maintains over 20 access sites along the Au Sable River, many with vault toilets and hand pumps for potable water.

**River Information**
The Au Sable River is a popular paddling destination in Michigan's national forests. Before launching, contact the Meadows ORV Campground office at 989-826-3252 or check with the DNR for current river conditions, water levels, and any dam releases that may affect flow.

Recreation

ORV Riding: Passing just long the south edge of the campground is the Meadows ORV Trail System. This trail system was developed for vehicles 50 inches of less. The Meadows ORV trail connects to the Mack Lake Trail System and Bull Gap Hill Climb . The trail ranges anywhere from 0 to 10% grades with some short stretches of 30%. Confidence markers are orange triangles.

Facilities
Meadows ORV Campground provides visitors with a handpump well for drinking water, several vault toliets, and garbage collection services. Individual campsites provide a picnic table, a campfire ring, and a lantern post. 
Natural Features
Meadows ORV Campground is nestled amoungst a pine and hardwood forest. The west branch of Big Creek is crossed by Meadows West Trail just to the southwest of the campground. Meadows ORV Campground is isolated from nearby light sources making it an excellent location for star gazing.
