Meeks Landing

Meeks Landing provides public boat access to D'Arbonne Bayou near Farmerville in Union Parish. This launch site serves kayakers, canoeists, and motorized boaters looking to explore the bayou and its surrounding waterways. The landing is conveniently located for accessing both the bayou proper and connections to nearby Lake D'Arbonne.

The area offers opportunities to paddle through Louisiana's wetland environment, with the D'Arbonne National Wildlife Refuge located nearby to the north, offering scenic paddling and wildlife viewing potential. Anglers should note that fishing is prohibited within 50 feet of the boat ramp itself. Like all Louisiana state boat launching facilities, the site has specific regulations: no overnight camping, no fires, and access is restricted from sunset to sunrise except for loading/unloading boats and vehicle access.

For extended recreation in the area, D'Arbonne State Park (accessible via Highway 2 west of Farmerville) offers additional amenities including cabins, camping with trailer hookups, a swimming pool, fishing pier, and picnic facilities.
