Merrill Horse Access

Located near Fletcher in Jefferson County, Merrill Horse Access provides a concrete boat ramp for launching kayaks, canoes, and motorboats onto the Big River. This public access point is situated near Highway H bridge and serves as a convenient put-in for paddlers exploring this section of the Big River.

The facility features a concrete boat ramp suitable for hand-launching smaller watercraft. Vehicle parking is available at the access point. Note that the surrounding area is part of the Big River's black bass special management zone. Paddlers should be prepared for typical Big River conditions and bring appropriate safety gear. The access area is open to the public for boating and fishing, in addition to other recreational uses like hiking and nature observation.

**Getting There**
Merrill Horse Access is accessed from Highway H near Fletcher. If coming from De Soto, take Route H and continue to the access area near the Highway H bridge crossing.
