About This Access Site
Metro Beach Boat Ramp Facility on Cumberland River/Old Hickory Lake

The Metro Beach boat ramp provides access to the Cumberland River and Old Hickory Lake, a popular recreational destination near Nashville, Tennessee. This access site is located within the Lone Branch recreation area, which is managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

The boat ramp is suitable for launching kayaks, canoes, and small motorized boats. Anglers frequently use this site to access the lake and river in search of black bass, crappie, and catfish. While the ramp does not have any reservable facilities, the Lone Branch area does offer picnic shelters, grills, and open grassy areas for visitors.

Boaters and paddlers should be aware that Old Hickory Lake is a large impoundment of the Cumberland River, with a variety of water conditions to navigate. The lake can experience wind, waves, and fluctuating water levels that may affect launching and navigation, especially for smaller craft. Careful planning and safety precautions are advised when exploring this section of the Cumberland River system.
