About This Access Site
Located in Redfield, Dallas County, this concrete boat ramp provides convenient access to the Middle Raccoon River with a large parking area. The ramp is positioned **below the low-head dam**, making it ideal for paddlers and boaters launching downstream. This is the third access point on the Middle Raccoon River Water Trail (Route A), situated 5.3 miles downstream from Lenon Mill Park Access and 3.2 miles upstream from the 2nd Middle Raccoon River Access.

The site is part of the **Raccoon River East Greenway**, a multi-use corridor designed to support paddlers, anglers, boaters, and nature enthusiasts. Paddlers navigating the water trail will find directional signage on the upstream side of bridges overhead, marking road crossings and distances to the next access point. This access serves as a solid mid-point option for day trips or longer paddling expeditions along the Middle Raccoon River corridor.
