About This Access Site
The Millsboro Pond Boat Ramp, located on Route 30 in Millsboro, provides access to Millsboro Pond and the Indian River system in Sussex County. This is a small-craft access point with a 5-HP motor limit, making it ideal for kayakers, canoeists, and small recreational boats. The ramp is maintained by the Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control in cooperation with the Town of Millsboro.

Beyond the immediate launch area, paddlers can explore Millsboro Pond and access the broader Indian River system. Shore anglers and paddlers can walk along the pond edge from the ramp toward the dam area, providing additional recreation opportunities. Note that much of the northern shoreline is owned by the Indian River School District for educational purposes, so be respectful of that area.

For those seeking additional access points in the region, Ingram Pond Boat Ramp is located nearby—take Delaware 24 west from Millsboro to County Road 328A, then turn right approximately 1 mile to the ramp. Both sites serve as gateways to the Atlantic Coastal Plain waterways of Delaware.
