Mineral Ridge

**Location & Access:** Mineral Ridge is a popular boat launch on the east end of Coeur d'Alene Lake, located about 9 miles east of Coeur d'Alene. From US-90, take exit 22 toward Wolf Lodge Bay, then head south on Highway 97 for one mile. The launch sits on the south side of Wolf Lodge Bay.

**Facilities & Fees:** This well-maintained facility features a concrete launching ramp, docks, and ample asphalt parking. A daily launch fee of $12 applies (annual passes available for $80, also valid at Blackwell Island). Payment by credit card or check is preferred; contact 208-769-5000 for season pass information. The site serves year-round paddlers and anglers, though note that the ramp may experience seasonal closures during winter months for maintenance due to low-water deterioration.

**Recreation & Wildlife:** Coeur d'Alene Lake is renowned as one of the most beautiful lakes in the world, offering excellent paddling and fishing opportunities. Winter visitors (November–February) may witness over 200 migrating bald eagles in the area as they feed on spawning kokanee salmon. Nearby camping is available at Beauty Creek Campground, and the scenic Mineral Ridge area offers additional exploration opportunities for paddlers seeking longer adventures on the lake.

This popular fishing access site on the east end of Coeur d'Alene Lake has a concrete launching ramp, docks and asphalt surfaced parking area. A daily fee of $12 applies, or an annual pass can be purchased for $80. Each winter from November through February, a migrating population of over 200 bald eagles visits the area to feed on spawning kokanee salmon. BLM staff lead an interpretive viewing program during peak migration, usually mid to late December.
