About This Access Site
Mirror Lake is a scenic 128-acre lake located in Cook, Itasca County, Minnesota, accessible via Mirror Lake Parkway. The boat ramp features a hard surface launch with a boarding dock and can accommodate two boats at the launch. The site includes parking for 25 cars and trailers and is wheelchair accessible, making it convenient for various user groups.

This calm, flat-water destination is ideal for kayakers, canoeists, and paddleboarders. A 2.7-mile scenic loop around the lake offers excellent paddling for all skill levels, and electric motorboats are permitted (gas-powered motors are not). The lake is known for rainbow trout and is small enough to navigate easily. For paddlers interested in extended trips, a portage around the recently constructed Mirror Lake dam provides access to downstream waterways, including a route to Lake Delton's boat ramp, though the downstream portage involves stairs that require careful boat handling.
