This 170-acre park offers a full range of amenities including a boat ramp, DNR fishing pier, picnic facilities, and porta toilets. The park also features two primitive canoe camping sites, making it a convenient base for multi-day paddling trips. Additional recreational options include an 18-hole disc golf course and two miles of paved trails.
On the Mississippi River at this location, paddlers should expect a major waterway with substantial flow (averaging 685,000+ cubic feet per second) and moderate current. The river maintains an average velocity of 11.24 feet/second with a gentle gradient of 0.8 feet/mile. This section of the Mississippi is appropriate for experienced kayakers and canoeists comfortable with river conditions, boat traffic, and the scale of a major navigation channel.
