About This Access Site
Moonstone Access provides convenient boat launch facilities on the north shore of Magic Reservoir in south-central Idaho. The site features a developed boat ramp and dock, making it suitable for kayakers, canoeists, motorboats, and water skiers. The access point is located in sagebrush country north of Twin Falls and can get extremely hot during summer months, so plan accordingly with sun protection and water supplies.

To reach Moonstone, head west on E Magic Reservoir Road for 4.6 miles from the Highway 75 area. The site offers semi-developed camping and shore access for fishing in addition to water launch facilities. Magic Reservoir is a popular recreational destination offering opportunities for paddling, fishing, water sports, and winter ice fishing. Several other access points are available around the reservoir (including Moonstone Landing, Hot Springs Landing, and Sheep Bridge) if you need alternatives or want to explore different sections of the water body.
