Moosehead Lake at Junction (Greenville Junction) is a public boat access point located at the southern tip of Maine's largest lake. This launch provides convenient trailered boat access to Moosehead Lake's 26,200 acres of clean, deep water. The lake reaches depths of 150 feet and supports excellent fishing opportunities, making it popular with anglers and recreational boaters during warm-weather months.
The Junction site offers a solid alternative to the Public Boat Access on the lake's west side. Paddlers and boaters should note that nearby Crafts Landing and Park in East Cove features seven public boat slips available free of charge, providing additional mooring options. For extended stays, Lily Bay State Park offers camping and day-use facilities, though advance reservations are recommended. The area's cool, clean waters make it ideal for kayaking and canoeing across a large, scenic lake.
