Mormon Reservoir

Mormon Reservoir is a 1,440-acre lake located in Camas County, Idaho, near Fairfield, offering a scenic boating and paddling destination in the Columbia Plateau region. The public boat ramp provides motorized and non-motorized access to the reservoir, making it suitable for kayakers, canoeists, and general boaters. The launch area includes a dock and basic facilities such as vault-style toilets (including one ADA-accessible outhouse) and a nearby primitive campground for those planning overnight trips.

**Conditions & Amenities:** Visitors should be prepared for primitive camping conditions, as the campground features basic fire rings and no services such as electricity or garbage collection. There is no on-site host. The reservoir is open to motorized boats (no motor restrictions apply), so paddlers should be aware of potential traffic. The area is surrounded by scenic desert landscape with nearby attractions including the unique rock formations of Gooding City of Rocks and the Black Canyon Wilderness Study Area, offering excellent opportunities to combine water recreation with hiking and sightseeing.
