About This Access Site
Located in Sanborn, Brown County, the Mound Creek Reservoir provides public boat access to the 70-acre Wellner-Hageman Reservoir. This access point accommodates both trailer launches and carry-in paddlers, with the concrete ramp suitable for boats up to 12-18 feet depending on water levels. The site is open 24 hours daily unless otherwise posted.

The reservoir, created by the Wellner-Hageman Dam, winds through narrow valleys and offers excellent paddling opportunities for canoeists and kayakers seeking scenic, protected water. The shallow, valley-formed landscape makes this an ideal spot for recreational paddling and exploring a more intimate water environment compared to larger lakes in the region.
