Mount Storm Lake's boat ramp is conveniently located near the dam and accessed via US Route 50 to WV 42 to WV 93. The ramp offers parking and serves as the primary launch point for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboats. The lake is open year-round for various water activities and is easily accessible from nearby I-77 via the Corridor-H Super Highway exit near Liberty.
This is an ideal destination for recreational paddling and motorboating, as Mount Storm Lake has no wake zones, speed restrictions, or horsepower limitations—making it suitable for both powered and human-powered craft. The lake supports fishing, jet skiing, scuba diving, and windsurfing. Note that swimming is not permitted at the public boat ramp access area; swimming is available elsewhere on the lake.
**Important:** Check ahead before visiting, as maintenance closures may affect access. The ramp and parking area have been closed during summer months for facility improvements in the past. Contact the West Virginia Division of Natural Resources for current conditions and any seasonal closures.
