About This Access Site
Murder Creek Boat Ramp and Access Site

The Murder Creek boat ramp and access site is located in Eatonton, Georgia, within the Oconee National Forest. This access point provides a convenient entry point for paddlers, canoeists, and small motorized boats to explore the waters of Murder Creek.

The ramp itself is suitable for launching kayaks, canoes, and small trailered boats. During low tide periods, boaters should exercise caution when launching to ensure the ramp extends far enough for safe trailer access. The creek is generally shallow, with a Class I-II whitewater section that is popular among experienced paddlers.

Nearby amenities include a bait and tackle shop, as well as kayak and boat rentals, making this an accessible option for both seasoned and novice river users. However, it's important to note that the site is not a developed recreational area, and visitors should come prepared with their own gear and supplies. Overall, the Murder Creek access site offers a scenic and relatively calm paddling experience within the Oconee National Forest.
