Located in Georgetown County near the intersection of US 17 Business and Belin Drive, the Murrells Inlet public boat ramp provides convenient access to this saltwater estuary. The ramp features a concrete launch approximately 20 feet wide and is situated just 300 feet north of US 17 Business. This is the recommended public access point for the area.
From the ramp, paddlers and boaters can navigate the inlet's channel markers heading left toward the jetties and Atlantic Ocean—a scenic paddle of less than 3 miles. Note that a no-wake zone is enforced around the immediate boat ramp area. The inlet itself is a saltwater estuary offering opportunities for coastal paddling and boating. Nearby paddlers may also be interested in exploring the adjacent Waccamaw National Wildlife Refuge, which features diverse wetland habitats worth exploring by kayak or canoe.
