Myron Grove Public Water Access

Located near Meckling in Clay County, Myron Grove provides a convenient boat launch onto Ames Creek and the Missouri River. This access point serves paddlers and boaters exploring the Missouri National Recreation River. To reach the ramp, take South Dakota Highway 50 (either east from Yankton or west from Vermillion) and turn south onto 454 Ave—look for signage marking "Myron Grove Lake Access."

The site includes a boat ramp and restroom facilities, though potable water is not available on-site. There is no camping at the access point itself, but two primitive camping options are located within 10 miles: Goat Island Primitive Camping and Bow Creek Primitive Camping. This makes Myron Grove a practical day-use launch for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboat users looking to access this section of the Missouri River.
