About This Access Site
The Natchez boat ramp provides direct access to the mighty Mississippi River in Natchez, Mississippi. As one of the largest rivers in North America, the Mississippi presents both opportunities and challenges for paddlers and boaters.

With a total length of over 1,900 miles and an average flow of nearly 700,000 cubic feet per second, the Mississippi is an immense, powerful waterway. Kayakers, canoeists, and small boat owners should be prepared for strong currents, fluctuating water levels, and potential hazards like submerged debris. The ramp is located on a chute leading to Island 63, with access possible down to around -2 feet on the Helena gauge.

The Natchez Visitor Center, which manages this site, offers helpful information for river users. However, the facility is not currently ADA accessible. Paddlers and boaters should exercise caution, check conditions, and be self-sufficient when launching from this remote location on the "Father of Waters."
