Beauty Bay Recreation Site offers a convenient, no-fee access point to the scenic waters of Coeur d'Alene Lake near Harrison. This small picnic area features seven units and is ideal for kayakers and canoeists looking for a quick launch spot along Highway 97. The site itself is day-use only with no overnight camping permitted, though Beauty Creek Campground is available nearby for those planning multi-day trips.

The recreation site is well-positioned for exploring the northern reaches of Coeur d'Alene Lake. In addition to water access, visitors can enjoy a short half-mile scenic trail and an 800-foot paved path to a viewing deck overlooking Beauty Bay. The lake is known as one of the world's most beautiful waterways and offers excellent paddling opportunities. For more developed facilities, the City of Coeur d'Alene's 3rd Street Boat Ramp is located about 4 miles away and provides additional services, though it charges a daily launch fee.
