Nodaway County Community Lake

Nodaway County Community Lake offers a 73-acre paddling and boating destination in northwest Missouri near Pickering. The lake runs north-south through a 320-acre property adjacent to Highway 148, with surrounding land consisting mainly of pasture and open fields. This modest-sized lake is suitable for kayakers, canoeists, and recreational boaters seeking a calm water experience away from currents or significant elevation changes.

The access site features a public boat ramp for launching, along with a parking lot to accommodate vehicles and trailers. Additional amenities include a wheelchair-accessible fishing jetty and restroom facilities (privy), making this a family-friendly option. The lake is open year-round and free to access.
