About This Access Site
North Bend State Park offers a well-developed boat ramp providing access to the 305-acre North Bend Lake in Harrisville, WV. The ramp is part of a comprehensive recreational facility that includes multiple launch points, making it convenient for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboaters. The park's facilities are handicapped accessible, and the area includes a fishing pier and various day-use amenities with picnic shelters.

The lake provides a calm-water paddling opportunity within the larger 2,000+ acre park that stretches along the North Fork of the Hughes River. Beyond the lake, downstream river access is available at the Jug Handle day-use area, which offers a different paddling experience. The park is located near Cairo and Harrisville in Ritchie County and is part of a popular outdoor destination known for the 72-mile North Bend Rail Trail and extensive hiking and biking opportunities.
