**Location & Access**
Oak Harbor Boat Ramp is located at 2428 Seaway Street in Mayport, Florida, providing convenient northern beach access to the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway (ICW). The ramp is adjacent to the Oak Harbor subdivision in Atlantic Beach, southwest of Mayport Naval Station. The facility features ample parking and is currently in good to excellent condition.
**Best For**
This ramp is ideal for kayakers, canoeists, and small to medium-sized boats. The ramp is officially designated for shallow draft vessels—larger boats should exercise caution, especially during low tide when depths can be limited. Smaller paddlers and kayakers generally find good access even at lower water levels. The brackish waterway offers scenic views and peaceful paddling conditions.
**Nearby Recreation**
Paddlers can explore the culturally and ecologically rich surrounding area, including the Timucuan Ecological & Historic Preserve (one of Florida's last unspoiled coastal wetlands with 6,000 years of human history) and Fort Caroline National Memorial. These nearby attractions make Oak Harbor an excellent launching point for both paddling adventures and historical exploration along this protected coastal corridor.
