About This Access Site
Oakland Beach in Warwick provides an accessible boat ramp on Greenwich Bay, a saltwater estuary ideal for kayakers, canoeists, and small boaters. The ramp is conveniently located at the end of Bay Avenue (turn left onto Suburban Parkway from the divided parkway, then right onto Bay Avenue). This is a well-developed recreational area with nearby amenities including restaurants, marinas, and facilities for picnicking and swimming, plus recent upgrades like a splash pad, playground, and handicapped-accessible boardwalk.

From Oakland Beach, paddlers have excellent exploration options throughout Greenwich Bay and its surrounding coves. You can paddle north into Warwick Cove, explore Brush Cove, venture west into Greenwich Cove, or paddle around Warwick Point, providing varied routes suitable for different skill levels. The area is also near the Narragansett Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve and Roger Williams National Memorial, offering both natural and historical points of interest for boaters to explore.
