About This Access Site
Ochoco Reservoir County Park offers a concrete boat ramp providing easy access to Ochoco Lake (Ochoco Reservoir), a scenic 3,030-acre impoundment on Ochoco Creek east of Prineville. The day-use area features a well-maintained ramp suitable for launching kayaks, canoes, and motorboats. The reservoir is part of the Crooked River Project and is surrounded by scenic forest landscape, making it an excellent destination for paddling and water recreation away from more crowded areas.

The park includes amenities such as fish cleaning stations and walking trails, making it a good all-around recreation spot. The peninsula location provides sheltered water conditions typical of reservoir paddling. This access point is convenient for exploring the reservoir's calm waters and is located about 15 miles north of Prineville Reservoir if you're planning a multi-site paddling trip in the area. Note that camping options include both the county park and the nearby private Lakeshore RV Park.
