About This Access Site
**Location & Access:** Ockway Bay Landing is located at 664 Great Neck Road South in Mashpee, MA, providing access to Ockway Bay (part of Popponesset Bay). The facility features an unmarked gravel and sand parking lot and includes a boat ramp with a dock/float, though the ramp is aging and in fair condition.

**Tidal Considerations & Conditions:** This is a shallow-water access point that is highly tide-dependent. Boaters should plan to launch within an hour or so of high tide to avoid grounding. The ramp has a notably steep drop to the water. Given these limitations, kayakers and canoeists with shallow-draft vessels will have better success than larger recreational boats. Plan your visit accordingly with tide tables in hand.

**Nearby Recreation:** The landing provides convenient access to explore Ockway Bay and the surrounding Waquoit Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve, which features open waters, barrier beaches, marshlands, and uplands along Cape Cod's south shore. The Cape Cod Canal is also nearby for additional paddling and recreation opportunities.
