The Ogden Bay Wildlife Management Area boat ramp provides access to the Great Salt Lake, offering paddlers and boaters a unique opportunity to explore this vast inland sea. Located in Hooper, Utah, the ramp is accessible via a short drive from the nearby Antelope Island State Park.
Due to ongoing construction and safety concerns, the north boat ramp and associated parking area are currently the only access point to the Willard Spur Waterfowl Management Area. The boat ramp is situated in a large parking lot, making it easy to launch your kayak, canoe, or small motorized boat.
It's important to note that the Ogden Bay Wildlife Management Area is only open to the public from the Thursday before the Youth Waterfowl Hunt (usually held the third Saturday in September) until the end of the waterfowl hunting season, which can vary from year to year. Boaters and paddlers should plan their visits accordingly and check for any updates or closures before heading out.
