Olson Park

**Location & Facilities**
Olson Park is a public boat launch located in Algoma, Wisconsin, just north of town on Highway 42 (N8108 Hwy 42). The park features a modern float-style kayak and canoe launch that allows paddlers of all experience levels to access the water without getting their feet wet. The site includes a large gravel parking area, making it convenient for vehicle and trailer parking.

**Best For**
The Ahnapee River is a popular flatwater paddling destination, making Olson Park an excellent starting point for beginners and recreational paddlers. Canoes, kayaks, and stand-up paddleboards are all well-suited to this section of river. The park's proximity to nearby campgrounds—Ahnapee River Trails Campground and Timber Trail Campground both located just north on the west shore—makes it ideal for multi-day paddling trips. From here, paddlers have direct access to the river's journey toward Lake Michigan.
