This is a year-round facility with no camping allowed.
Deep River is a large, productive waterway (Stream Order 7) with an average flow of approximately 1,545 cubic feet per second and an average current of 2.8 feet per second. Paddlers launching from Oneida can easily reach nearby Brix Bay and Gray's Bay, with direct access to the Columbia River just downstream. The river's moderate gradient (5.2 ft/mile average) and consistent flow make it suitable for intermediate paddlers, though current conditions should always be checked before launch.
The site provides excellent access to an area rich in natural and cultural heritage, with the Lewis and Clark National Historical Park and Wildlife Refuge nearby, offering opportunities to explore coastal rainforests and view the region's wildlife and historical significance.
