**Launch Facilities & Parking**
Located on the northwest section of the 12,000-acre Allegheny Reservoir near Steamburg, Onoville Marina Park offers a five-lane concrete boat ramp with docks, extensive paved parking for vehicles and trailers, and bathrooms. This is a well-developed facility suitable for kayakers, canoeists, and larger boats seeking reliable access to the reservoir.
**Water Conditions & Nearby Recreation**
The Allegheny Reservoir is a large impoundment surrounded by forested shoreline, featuring 91 miles of non-commercialized waterfront with secluded bays—ideal for paddlers exploring calm waters and protected coves. The reservoir is part of the region's largest outdoor recreation complex, located north of Allegheny National Forest and west of Allegany State Park. Three nearby campgrounds (Hopewell, Hooks Brook, and Handsome Lake) offer reservable waterfront camping if you want to extend your visit.
