About This Access Site
Orchard Park offers a single-lane paved boat ramp with seasonal docks (summer and fall) for accessing the South Fork Coquille River near Powers in Coos County. The ramp is moderately steep and may be challenging during extreme low tide conditions, so plan your launch timing accordingly. This location serves as a practical put-in for kayakers, canoeists, and drift boaters exploring this section of the South Fork.

The surrounding area provides excellent opportunities for outdoor recreation beyond paddling. The Wild Rogue Wilderness, designated by Congress in 1978 and encompassing over 35,000 acres, lies nearby along with scenic trails like Mule Creek Trail, which follows dramatic bluffs above the creek system. Paddlers should consult current water conditions and check with local tackle shops or the Coquille River Watershed resources before heading out to ensure safe boating conditions.
