About This Access Site
The Oslo access site is a boat launching and bank fishing area located on the north side of Minnesota Highway 1 near the city water tower in Marshall County. This straightforward ramp provides convenient access to the Red River of the North, a large, navigable waterway spanning nearly 400 miles through Minnesota and North Dakota.

The Red River at this location is a substantial stream with an average flow of approximately 4,500 cubic feet per second and gentle gradient of 0.5 feet per mile. Paddlers can expect moderate current and relatively stable water conditions typical of a large river system. The site serves as a practical put-in or take-out point for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboaters exploring this section of the river, with both ramp and bank fishing access available.
