About This Access Site
**Location & Access**
Overlook Park is situated on the north shore of Lake Cypress Springs in Franklin County, Texas. From Mount Vernon, take Texas 37 south to FM 21, turn east and travel 3.2 miles to FM 2723, then turn south and continue 4.6 miles to reach the park. The access point is conveniently located at the end of County Road 2723.

**Facilities & Usage**
This public boat ramp provides access to both Lake Cypress Springs and Big Cypress Creek, making it suitable for kayakers, canoeists, and motorized boaters. The site is a straightforward launch area with parking. A $2 per person fee applies for access. The location on the mid-lake north shore offers good water access for recreational paddling and fishing.

**Paddling Considerations**
Big Cypress Creek feeds Lake Cypress Springs, which is a quieter impoundment ideal for beginner to intermediate paddlers. Expect calmer conditions typical of a lake environment. This access point works well for day trips and recreational paddling rather than creek paddling with significant current or gradient.
