Oxbow Trail Recreation Area

Located in Ulysses, Butler County, this access point provides a boat ramp and dock facility on a water body supplied by rainfall and underground springs. The site features a fishing jetty on the west side, making it suitable for kayakers, canoeists, and small motorized boats. Standard public ramp etiquette applies: limit tie-up time to 15 minutes at the launch and 2 hours at shoreline sites.

**Important Navigation Note:** Do not travel north from the boat ramp—the Oxbow Bridge is destroyed and currently impassable, creating a hazard. Paddlers should plan routes accordingly and stay south of this obstruction. The area is best suited for day-use recreation and fishing activities, with adequate facilities for launching and accessing the water.
