About This Access Site
**Location & Access:** Oyster Pond Furlong Landing is located in Chatham on Cape Cod, accessible via Harrington Street. The boat ramp is situated at the end of Harrington Street. Be aware of parking restrictions—no parking is allowed on either side of Harrington Street, on the northeast shoulder of the ramp, or between 11:00 pm and 7:00 am.

**Paddling Conditions:** This launch provides access to Oyster Pond and the Oyster River system. Paddlers should note that the river has shallow spots, particularly around 3 feet in depth near the initial red navigation markers and again in the area near Barn Hill Ramp. These shallow sections may require caution during low tide or for vessels with deeper drafts. The site is well-suited for kayakers and canoeists exploring the local pond and river systems.

**Nearby Recreation:** The launch provides convenient access to Monomoy National Wildlife Refuge, established in 1944 as critical habitat for migratory birds. This makes it an excellent base for wildlife viewing and nature-focused paddling trips in one of Cape Cod's most ecologically significant areas.
