Palisades Creek is a U.S. Forest Service boat ramp providing access to the South Fork Snake River near Irwin, Idaho. Located just downstream of Palisades Dam, this is a popular launch point for boaters exploring the 66-mile South Fork, which flows through southeastern Idaho's high mountain valleys and rugged canyons. A day-use fee is required during the peak season (May 24–September 30). Facilities at this access site include a concrete ramp and restrooms. The nearby Falls Campground offers reservable camping for multi-day trips.
This site serves as a gateway to excellent paddling and fishing opportunities on the South Fork Snake River. Boaters should note that conditions vary significantly along the river, from broader flood plains near the dam to tighter canyon sections downstream.
