About This Access Site
Located in Port Royal off Parrishville Road (County Road 636) near State Road 162, the Parris Island Boat Ramp provides access to Battery Creek and the Beaufort River system. The facility features a dual-lane boat ramp (noted as steeper than average), courtesy docks, and approximately 15 unpaved parking spaces for vehicles and trailers. This location serves as a good launch point for exploring the tidal creeks and river systems of the Beaufort area.

Paddlers and boaters should note the steeper-than-average ramp grade when launching and retrieving. The site offers basic amenities including port-o-lets. Battery Creek is a tidal estuary typical of the Atlantic Coastal Plain, so paddlers should plan around tide schedules for optimal water conditions. The proximity to Beaufort River provides opportunities for both creek paddling and river exploration. This is an unreserved, day-use facility, making it accessible for spontaneous outings.
