Pascoag Reservoir (also known as Echo Lake) offers a convenient public boat ramp for paddlers and boaters in Glocester, Rhode Island. The DEM access site features a cement plank boat ramp and gravel parking lot located on Maroney Road/Widow Smith Road, just 200 feet off the main road—look for the turn right after crossing the reservoir causeway. This 350-acre impoundment is popular for summer boating and is subject to a 10-horsepower engine limit.
The lake is best suited for recreational paddling and motorboating rather than swimming, as there is no public beach at this access point. Paddlers should note that some areas of the reservoir can be tricky to navigate, so local conditions are worth checking before your trip. The site works well as a base for exploring the water or combining your visit with nearby recreation opportunities, including West Hill Dam's swimming area and trails, or West Thompson Lake just a few miles away.
