About This Access Site
This boat ramp provides convenient access to the historic Penobscot River in Hampden. The facility includes a concrete ramp near the parking area, with a vault toilet located across Seboeis Road. Unload your gear at the ramp before parking in the designated lot. The site offers scenic green space along the shoreline, making it suitable for both launching and a brief rest.

From this access point, paddlers can head upstream to explore the confluence with the Seboeis River or paddle downstream toward Whetstone Falls and the main stem of the Penobscot. The Penobscot River features a mix of flatwater and whitewater sections, with multiple access points throughout its length, making it suitable for day trips and longer expeditions with established campsites available downstream.
