About This Access Site
This boat ramp provides convenient access to the historic Penobscot River in Frankfort, offering both upstream and downstream paddling opportunities. The ramp is located near a parking area with a vault toilet facility across Seboeis Road. The site features green space along the shore, making it a scenic spot for launching kayaks, canoes, and small boats.

From this access point, paddlers can head upstream to explore the river's confluence with the Seboeis River, or paddle downstream toward Whetstone Falls and the main stem of the Penobscot. The Penobscot River itself offers a mix of flatwater and whitewater sections, with numerous access points and campsites available for day trips and longer excursions. Unload gear at the boat ramp before parking in the designated lot.
