Peters Lake is an 80-acre impoundment located in Howard County near Fayette. The boat ramp provides public access for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboaters. To reach the access site from Fayette, take Route E west for approximately 3.5 miles. The lake offers a smaller, more intimate paddling experience compared to nearby D.C. Rogers Lake (185 acres), making it suitable for recreational paddling and fishing.
**Important Seasonal Closure:** The lake is closed to all boating and fishing from December through February. Before visiting, review posted notices at the boat ramp and RV Check-In Station for current status updates, water conditions, and any temporary closures. Fishing regulations include catch-and-release restrictions for Bass, Blue Gill, and Channel Catfish, while other species may be kept subject to state limitations.
