About This Access Site
Piedmont Park offers a well-developed public boat launch on Clearwater Lake, a scenic 1,630-acre "wilderness lake" known for its unspoiled shorelines, natural springs, and forested hills. Located 6 miles from Piedmont, MO via Highway HH, the ramp provides easy access for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboats. The lake's 27 miles of shoreline and lack of private docks make it ideal for exploring remote coves and practicing paddling skills in a relatively protected setting.

The facility is part of a larger recreation area offering ample amenities including boat and trailer parking, a swimming beach, picnic shelters, and nearby campground with 97 sites (many with hookups). A playground, restrooms with hot showers, and a dump station are available on-site. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers recently upgraded high-water launch facilities at Piedmont Park to improve access during above-normal water levels.
