About This Access Site
**Location & Access:** The Pigeon Hill Bay boat ramp is located in Steuben, Maine, off Pigeon Hill Road. From US Route 1 north of Ellsworth, take Pigeon Hill Road south for approximately 5 miles to reach the parking area and ramp. Public access is available from the Pigeon Hill Road parking area only, and there are no launch fees.

**About the Water:** Pigeon Hill Bay is a sheltered coastal bay approximately 6 miles long, situated between the towns of Milbridge and Steuben in Washington County. The bay is protected from the open Atlantic by Bois Bubert Island to the east and separated from Dyer Bay to the west by Petit Manan Point. This configuration makes it an ideal paddling destination for kayakers and canoeists seeking protected, scenic waters with access to coastal exploration. The bay offers opportunities for exploring quiet coves and observing coastal Maine wildlife.

**Nearby Activities:** The Pigeon Hill Preserve Trailhead is located near the ramp, offering paddlers the option to combine water exploration with hiking. The area is approximately 45 miles from Ellsworth and the Acadia National Park region, making it a worthwhile stop for those exploring Maine's Downeast coast.
