The Pigeon River Fish & Wildlife Area offers boat ramp access to Lake Gage in Angola, within a sprawling 12,134-acre protected area in northeastern Indiana. This is a designated access point for kayakers, canoeists, and motorized boaters looking to explore the area's 529 acres of lakes. Electric motors are permitted on the lakes and ponds throughout the property. Parking is available in designated lots only.
Facilities at this site are basic but functional. Pit toilets are available at the park headquarters and Curtis Creek Trout Rearing Station. A convenience station with a gas pump and snacks can be found nearby in Mongo, Indiana. The area is popular with anglers and offers multiple water bodies to explore, including Troxel Lake, Beaver Dam Lake, and the Mongo Millpond. Note that there are no paved trails within the Fish & Wildlife Area, and the property includes extensive hunting and fishing opportunities, so plan accordingly during hunting seasons.
