About This Access Site
Pine Grove 2 is a convenient public boat ramp providing access to Lake Carl Blackwell, a popular recreational reservoir in the Stillwater area. Located on the west side of the lake, this ramp is maintained by Oklahoma State University and offers reliable access for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboats. The site is especially useful during fall and winter months when other ramps may be seasonally closed. The surrounding area includes camping facilities, picnic areas, and nearby amenities including bait and tackle shops.

Lake Carl Blackwell is a family-friendly destination offering calm water suitable for various paddling skill levels. In addition to boating, the lake provides access to fishing (known for crappie, saugeye, and catfish), hiking and biking trails, and sandy swimming beaches. The lake is managed as a full recreation area with an on-water marina offering 24-hour fuel service and a lakeside convenience store. Water levels can vary seasonally, so checking current conditions before your trip is recommended. Bank access is also available at this site for anglers or those launching smaller craft.
