About This Access Site
**Current Status & Access:** Pioneer Park is currently closed to public use due to ongoing Klamath River Renewal Corporation management and dam removal activities. However, boaters can access the river within the Highway 66 right-of-way as an alternative. Check with the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife, Klamath Watershed District Office (541-883-5732) before planning your trip, as conditions and closures may change.

**When Open:** Pioneer Park provides a concrete boat ramp suitable for launching kayaks, canoes, and motorboats onto J.C. Boyle Reservoir near Keno. The facility includes parking, a vault toilet, and direct river access. The reservoir offers a gentler paddling experience compared to free-flowing sections of the Klamath River. Topsy Campground is located within 10 miles if you're planning an overnight trip.

**Planning Ahead:** Given the current closure status and ongoing changes to recreation sites along the Klamath, contact ODFW or check their website before visiting. Nearby Upper Klamath Lake (30 miles away) and Bear Valley National Wildlife Refuge offer additional recreation opportunities in the area.
