About This Access Site
Located in Pike County between Pittsfield and Griggsville, this boat ramp provides convenient access to Pittsfield Lake with two launching areas. A small launch fee applies. The lake offers approximately 75% shoreline accessibility, making it suitable for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboats. On-site amenities include picnicking and camping facilities for extended visits.
The lake is known for productive crappie fishing, though anglers should expect smaller specimens mixed in with keepers. Striped bass fishing is also good with larger fish available. Note that water skiing and swimming are prohibited on the lake. For permits, facility details, and current information, contact the City Clerk's office at 217-285-4484 or speak with the Park Ranger at the lake.
