About This Access Site
Hormel Park in Inglewood provides boat ramp access to the Platte River near Fremont, Nebraska. This heavily used launch point is popular with airboaters and paddlers looking to access the Platte River system. The ramp offers a straightforward put-in for kayaks, canoes, and motorboats heading downstream on this wide, shallow prairie river.

**Important Note:** The original boat ramp was damaged during the 2019 Bomb Cyclone flooding. Before visiting, contact the City of Fremont to confirm current conditions and access availability, as replacement and restoration efforts may still be ongoing. Water levels on the Platte can vary seasonally, which may affect paddling conditions and shallow-water navigation. Paddlers should be prepared for potential sandbars and low-water sections, particularly during drier periods. This location works well as a put-in for multi-hour float trips downstream toward other access points on the river system.
